Garbage Disposal Repair Tips
We are very reluctant to offer much advise for garbage disposals.
The first instinct that most people have is to turn off the garbage
disposal and to put their hand in to clear obstructions.
We don't recommend this at all. Even with the garbage disposal
turned off, if their is any malfunction in the electrical line, the
blades could turn with your hand in harm's way.
1. There is a "red" reset buttom located on the bottom of the garbage disposal. If
the unit begins to "hum" and the reset button trips again, the disposal is jammed.
2. Again, Anova Appliance does not recommend placing your hand in the disposal
to remove obstructions.
