Diagnostic Fee
$99.50 Virginia, Maryland
$129.50 Washington D.C.
The Diagnostic Fee gives you a repair estimate that is generally
85% accurate.
This repair estimate is based upon the job; not an hourly rate.
Anova's rate structure is based upon coming out to your residence and
doing a thorough diagnostic exam on your appliance.
We then order all the necessary parts that are required, and schedule a
return visit to complete the repair.
If you decide that your appliance isn't "worth" repairing once we
give you the estimate; or if you choose to go with a second
opinion from a different company; then the diagnostic fee is
your only cost.
Cancellation Fee
A 24-hour notice is required to cancel a service reservation.
This notification can be after hours by leaving a voice mail in
Anova Appliance's general mailbox, or by sending an email to
service@anovaappliance.com.
Same-day cancellations have a $50 cancellation fee, which
must be paid prior to any other service at the address. This
fee is necessary to compensate the technician for the time
which could have been allotted to another service call.
No-Show Fees
If a technician arrives at your residence and no one is home, or
if only a minor if home, then a $50 no-show fee is assessed.
This fee must be paid prior to the call being rescheduled.
Cancellation fees are not covered by any warranty and are
solely the responsibility of the homeowner to pay prior to
rescheduling.
No Show Fees are not covered by any warranty and are solely
the responsibility of the homeowner to pay prior to
rescheduling.
1/2 Hour Call-Aheads
One of the services that Anova Appliance offers to our
customers is to call you up to 1/2 hour ahead of our arrival.
Many of our customers are at work, or on errands, and then
meet the technician at their residence.
While there is no charge for this service, it is a convenience
that comes with a notice from our staff.
If a customer asks for a 1/2 hour call ahead, and the customer
does not answer the phone, then Anova's technician will have
to assume that no one is home.
Unfortunately, with the rising cost of gasoline, we can't afford to
have our technician then drive 30 minutes out of his way to
find out you forgotten about the appointment.
If you don't answer the phone, or return the phone call within
two to three minutes, you will have to reschedule your
appointment.
But, there is no cancellation or missed service fee involved in
this case.
If we find out more parts are needed which couldn't be
diagnosed properly until the first set of parts were put in; that is
where the 15% discrepancy comes from. Our labor is
guaranteed for 30 days; so the only additional cost to you
would be the parts.
