Policies and Pricing Information
1.        When the technician arrives the unit must be completely assembled and
hooked up so that when the technician arrives at your home they can immediately
test the units operation without having to hook up the unit or re-install parts that have
been removed.

If the technician determines that the consumer has attempted to repair the appliance on their
own, and called Anova Appliance to "fix" the consumer's unsuccessful repair job; the
technician will not be able to complete any repair, and a minimum charge of $99.50 will be
assessed for the service call fee.

There are dangers involved with attempting to repair any appliance that was worked on by
someone not trained in appliance repair.  It takes much more time to fix an appliance when a
"do-it-yourself" consumer attempts to do repairs on their own first.

2.        Anova Appliance offers a 90-day parts and labor guarantee on the parts
which we have installed from our own authorized distributors.  This 90-day guarantee
covers a malfunction in the exact part which Anova Appliance has replaced.

3.        Anova Appliance offers a 30-day labor-free guarantee on our repair.  This is
our most important guarantee.  This is your assurance that when we quote you a
repair cost, it will be an accurate estimate.  If for some reason after we complete
the repair, if you have more problems within 30 days, we will return to complete the
repair, and the only charge will be for an additional parts used:  There will be no
additonal labor costs.  (Parts invoices will be available, we mark up prices only 10%
over the list price of parts over $100, and 20% markup on parts under $100 to cover
shipping and handling).

4.        Anova's parts distributor offer a one-year guarantee on their parts against
defects.  If the part that was replaced in your appliance fails within one year, the
manufacturer guarantees that part.  However, there will be a labor charge to install
the part.  Also, the guarantee only applies to parts put in by the same company.
Anova doesn't guarantee another company's parts, nor would they honor our parts.
The parts used must be matched up to service tickets and parts invoices.

5.        The minimum diagnostic fee is $99.50 in Virginia and Maryland and $129.50
in Washington D.C.  Unfortunately we do have to charge an additional $30 in DC to
help us recover some of the costs of parking and parking tickets.  While parking may
be available at your location, this additional cost is still charged to help recover the
costs incurred at all the DC locations.

6.        This minimum diagnostic fee applies to the first appliance.  If we look at more
than one appliance, then the diagnostic fee is 1/2 on the subsequent appliances:
$49.75 for VA and MD, and 64.75 for DC.

The average diagnostic visit lasts under 10 to 15 minutes.  It does not take very long on
most appliances to do a thorough diagnostic examination.  Some consumers do get upset
when being charged the $99.50/$129.50

7.        If you chose to go through with the repair, then the diagnostic fee is applied
towards the cost of the repair, and is to secure parts for the repair.  The diagnostic
fee must be paid on the first visit.  If you pay by credit card, then the credit card
number becomes the "deposit," and no charges will be done until the repair is
complete.

8.        If the part costs exceed $200, Anova Appliance may require an additional
deposit to order the parts.   Anova's management has the sole discretion as to
whether we will have to secure an additional deposit when the parts exceed $200.

9.        Hours available for service are Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 6 PM for our
technicians, with our office open from 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.  Occasionally we have our
technicians volunteering to work on Saturdays; but this is rare, but you are welcomed
to ask our office staff if any Saturday appointments are available.  This is with the
caution that if parts are ordered, and you only want Saturday service to put the parts
in, the technicians signing up for a Saturday service agree to work at least one
Saturday per month to complete the repairs.  So your repair could possibly be
delayed for a month waiting for the technician's next Saturday workday.

10.  There is no billing.  All payments are expected to be paid in full upon the
completion of the repair.  Anova Appliance accepts cash, Visa, Mastercard, and
checks.

11.  The unit must be completely assembled and hooked up so that when the
technician arrives at your home they can immediately test the unit for operation
without having to put parts that you have removed back into the appliance.

12.  If the technician has to reinstall any parts removed by the consumer or another
repair company even, the technician has the option of charging extra to install the
parts, or the cancel the repair and charge the minimum diagnostic fee.

13.  It is important that you understand that Anova Appliance is not responsible for
damage to your appliance or to the part(s) that you or someone else has removed.

14.  For clothes washers, the consumer must remove any water from the tub if the
door can be opened.  This will allow for the technician to tilt the washer on its side if
necessary.  If water is left in the washer, and the door was not locked, then an
additional labor charge can be charged to removed the water.

15.   For dishwashers, the consumer must removed any water in the basin if the door
can be opened.
